The following options are available for connecting the relay outputs to
the reader:
•
Relay connection NO = normal open, working side
•
Relay connection NC = normal closed, idle side
•
Relay connection COM = common, centre connection
When the relay is released, COM is switched to NO.
When the relay is blocked, COM is switched to NC.

Connect with the power supply.

Activate the power supply.

If the power supply is wired correctly, the left LED of the reader
flashes yellow.
5.4 Install reader with external control unit
Note
Damage to the reader when replacing the control
unit!
Because the reader and the external control
unit are connected to each other, intermittent
replacement of the control unit can render the old
control unit unusable.
•
When replacing a reader with external control
unit, always replace the reader unit and the
control unit together.
•
The reader unit and external control unit should
only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
