Mounting lugs
– Find the braided ground wire from the frame of C55. Trim as needed and solder to the
GND
ground pad at the rear of the C55 assembly.
– Slide the C55 assembly into place on the PWB. Route the yellow wire under the shield and
toward the
L52ct
pad.
– Solder the C55 assembly in place using the two
C55 GND
mounting posts.
– From the foil side of the board, solder the two terminals of C55 to their respective PWB
pads. Make certain the solder extends from the connection lugs to the PWB pads.
Assembly of the FM tuner PWB has now been completed. Check the PWB for proper
installation of all components. Look for bad solder connections or solder splash that might cause a
short-circuit.The finished board is shown in Figure 5.4.
