speaker PWBs do not make contact with the barrier strip mounting screws and to support
the board as connections are made.
– Insert the right channel speaker PWB over the right channel barrier strip posts. Orient the
board so the row of connectors faces upright.
– Cut a 4-inch long #18 black wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to one end of the
wire.
– Observe the speaker connection barrier strip for the right channel output. Note that one
post is the “Ground” position and the other is the “8 Ohm” position. Using a pair of long-
nose pliers, fashion a small loop at the free end of the black wire. Attach to the right
channel

terminal from the component side of the PWB. Solder. While soldering,
position the board so it rests against the rear panel chassis and is parallel with the chassis
deck. Note that the solder connection ties together the black wire, the barrier strip post,
and the PWB mounting post. Use care when soldering to avoid contact with other wiring
in the chassis.
– Cut a 4-inch long #18 yellow wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to one end of the
wire. Using a pair of long-nose pliers, fashion a small loop at the other end of the wire.

Note that the solder connection ties together the yellow wire, the barrier strip post, and the
PWB mounting post. Use care when soldering to avoid contact with other wiring in the
chassis.
– Insert the left channel speaker PWB over the left channel barrier strip posts. Orient the
board so the relay faces the right side of the chassis when viewed from the rear.
– Cut a 4-inch long #18 black wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to one end of the
wire.
– Observe the speaker connection barrier strip for the left channel output. Note that one post
