60 W Stereo Power Amplifier
– Cut one 10-inch piece of medium expandable sleeving. Cut two pieces of medium heat-
shrink tubing, each about 3/4-inch long.
– Prepare two 15-inch long #18 green wires. Attach quick-disconnect terminals to one end
of each wire. Twist the wires together, grouping the ends with the terminals. Leave about
2 inches untwisted on each end.
– Feed the twisted pair green wires through the expandable sleeving and place the heat-
shrink tubing on each end.
– Prepare a 17-inch long #22 high voltage (600 V) red wire. Attach a spade terminal to one
end of the wire. Feed the loose end of the wire through the expandable sleeving. The end
with the spade terminal should be grouped with the quick-disconnect terminals on the
green wire pair.
– Prepare a 16-inch long #22 white wire. Attach a spade terminal to one end of the wire.
Feed the loose end of the wire through the expandable sleeving. The end with the spade
terminal should be grouped with the quick-disconnect terminals on the green wire pair.
– Prepare a 17-inch long #22 black wire. Attach a spade terminal to one end of the wire.
Feed the loose end of the wire through the expandable sleeving. The end with the spade
terminal should be grouped with the quick-disconnect terminals on the green wire pair.
– Position one end of the sleeving about 2-inches from the terminals. Process both ends with
the heat gun. Be careful to focus the heat on the heat-shrink tubing, not the sleeving
(which may melt if exposed to too much heat).
– Attach a spade terminal to the free end of the red wire. The other wires in the bundle will
be terminated later.
– Connect the terminals of the wire harness to the right channel PWB as follows:
•
Green wires to
TERM5
and
TERM6
.
•
Red wire to barrier strip
Terminal 1
.
•
White wire to barrier strip
Terminal 2
.
•
Black wire to barrier strip
Terminal 3
.
Note that barrier strip Terminal 4 is not used.
