60 W Stereo Power Amplifier
– Feed the 5-inch piece of sleeving onto the black and white wires just connected. Stretch
the sleeving to its full length. Place one piece of heat-shrink tubing on each end of the
sleeving. Process with the heat gun. Be careful to focus the heat on the heat-shrink tubing,
not the sleeving (which may melt if exposed to too much heat).
– Attach a spade lug terminal connector to each of the #18 black wires for the front panel
power switch, along with the leads from varistor VR53. There will be two wires in each
spade lug terminal—one black wire and one lead from VR53. Crimp each terminal.
– Slip two 3/4-inch long pieces of small heat-shrink tubing over each of the two #22 white
wires. Connect to the pilot lamp. Solder. Move the heat-shrink tubing into position and
process with a heat gun.
– Secure one of the two spade terminals prepared previously to the center terminal of the
front panel power switch SW51.
– Secure the other spade terminal to one of the outside terminals on SW51. Note: tighten the
unused screw on SW51 to ensure it does become loose over time.
– Prepare one 6-inch long #16 black stranded wire. Attach quick-disconnect terminals on
each end of the wire.
– Attach one end of the wire prepared in the previous step to the
ACH-2
post on the power
supply PWB. Attach the other end of the wire to the
RYL51
NO
(normally open) post.
Note that the terminal legend for the relay is given on the top side of the device. Insert the
connector straight down on the relay terminal. Do not bend the terminal as that may crack
the housing.
– Prepare one 7-inch long #16 black stranded wire. Attach quick-disconnect terminals on
each end of the wire.
– Attach one end of the wire prepared in the previous step to the
ACH-3
post on the power
supply PWB. Attach the other end of the wire to the
RYL51 COM
(common) post. Note
that the terminal legend for the relay is given on the top side of the device. Insert the
connector straight down on the relay terminal. Do not bend the terminal as that may crack
the housing.
