Example: Selecting 400 milliseconds allows
the sensitivity to increase up to a range of
300m (1000 ft).
WESMAR recommends you stay with the
preprogrammed settings. However, experiment
with the TVG settings if you are involved in
difficult fisheries or conditions.
9.0 FIXED RANGE RINGS
When you select "Yes," three white range rings
will appear on the scan circle. These stationary
rings will let you determine approximate target
distance at a glance. For specific range
information, use the RANGE RING Switch to
move the Variable Range Marker.
10.0 BACKGROUND COLOR
With the "Background" function, you can
choose to have a blue or black background on
the sonar screen.
Press the RANGE RING Control up or down to
select blue or black.
The black background provides better tar-
get contrast and easier nighttime
viewing.
With the dark blue background, only the
area being scanned is blue, not the entire
screen. The blue background sets the
scanned area off from the rest of the sonar
screen,
and makes daytime viewing
easier.
NOTE: When black background is selected, the
dark blue color is removed from the range of colors
displayed at the bottom of
the menu.
11.0 NIGHT COLORS
When "Night Colors" is selected, the screen
intensity is lowered for easier viewing at
night.
