File name
The file name of the XML file must be unique to ensure that an existing file is not overwritten,
because multiple XML files can be made available simultaneously by several external systems or
a single system, e.g. as a result of exports triggered by different users.
The interface service imports the provided files in the correct chronological sequence. The files
are sorted in chronological order based on the date and time information from the file name.

Checks during import
Various checks are carried out during the data import.
System ID
If the system ID is set, a check is carried out to determine whether a system ID is entered in the
import file. If a different or no system ID is defined in the import file, the data is not processed.
Material
The part number is used to check whether the material already exists:
– If a material already exists, the existing data is updated.
– If a material does not exist, the material is created.
– If a material was deleted and re-imported via XML, a new material is created in the database
for the part number.
– If an XML file contains a material multiple times, the material is updated multiple times and the
data of the last entry is imported.
– The import file must contain at least one material, otherwise the file is considered to contain
errors.
