1.  Scheduled events in Houseport

®

 can have a

random amount of time added to their run time

to break up regular patterns. Set the maximum

number of minutes of variation to be added.
2.  The modules in your Z-Wave

®

 network can

be turned on and off independent of Houseport

®

To keep the information about the modules

displayed in the plan view current Houseport

®

periodically updates the state of all the modules

in the network.  Set how often Houseport

®

should update its module state information.
3.  Scheduled events will not run if your Mac

®

is turned off or asleep.  Houseport

®

 can keep

your Mac

®

from sleeping if there are active

schedules to be run.  If you would rather let your

Mac

®

sleep then turn this check box off.

NoTe

: This setting does not prevent screen

savers from running or the display on your

Mac

®

from sleeping.  It does prevent the Mac

®

processor from sleeping so that scheduled

events can be run at their prescribed times.
4. Houseport

®

 software is continually being

updated and enhanced.  A check for new

software updates can be made each time

Houseport

®

is started if this check box is turned

on.  You can also check for Houseport

®

 updates

by choosing the

Check for Updates

 menu item in

the Houseport

®

 menu.

Additional Houseport

®

Preferences

your Houseport

®

 software.

®

icon in the Applications

folder (or wherever you installed it) and double-

®

2.  Houseport

®

 automatically uses the location

and time zone information that you have set in

your Mac.  This information is used to determine

sunrise and sunset times.  If you think there

is a problem with the sunrise or sunset times

choose the Preferences item in the Houseport
