license key code.
Most host applications come with their own license key and it is common for ctengine partners to their products. The Detection
Center requires ctengine to pass the Commtouch license key in the connection string. If the host application has its own
application license code, it is recommended that you concatenate this code (up to 35 alphanumeric characters) using colon
delimiters. This code may represent a unique code per user or product and has meaning only to your application. ctengine
passes this number to the resolver, where it can be used in diagnostic reports to detail customer information, usage, activation
activities, or problems encountered during operation. The for this concatenated connection string is:
LicenseKey=<Commtouch license key >:<application license code>
For example: LicenseKey=0001K032B1010W167E2B:99.99.9999
After the application license key code, you can also concatenate a third parametthat contains customer information. Like the
application license code, this is an optional parameter that can indicate, for example, the product name and/or version number.
Its purpose and content are not restricted, and any alphanumeric characters can be used. If passed in the connection string, this
information can also be included in diagnostic reports. If used, the customer information parameter should be placed after the
application license code. If no application license code is used, the customer information should be separated from the
Commtouch license code with two colons (::). It is recommended that you minimize the number of characters used in this field

LicenseKey=0001K032B1010W167E2B:99.99.9999:ClientName=CTGateway;ClientVersion=4.1.0010
The Commtouch Detection Center logs requests for classification services from ctengine units for diagnostics and technical
support purposes. When the ctenginlicense key code is used in combination with a host application license key code, the
Commtouch Center records both numbers, assisting ctengin partners in supporting their own customers.
The ctengine license key code is 20 characters in length and when followed by a colon ':' sign an optional host application's
license code of up to 35 alpha numericcharacters may be added. When ctengine receives the combined key code from the host
application, it passes it to the Commtouch Detection Center for authentication and logging.
