menu item, the following I/O parameters can be set:
Table 141: “Common” Menu Item
Parameter
Settings / Description
Temperature unit
With this parameter, you can set the desired
temperature unit.
0: Celsius
*)
The process value is output in
degrees Celsius (°C).
1: Fahrenheit
The process value is output in
degrees Fahrenheit (°F).
2: Kelvin
The process value is output in
Kelvin (K).
Siemens S5 format
With this parameter, status information for S5-FB250
can be represented in the lower three bits of the
process value (but only if the corresponding channel
diagnostics are enabled).
On
Bit 0 = overflow (set in the
event of measurement
overrange/underrange)
Bit 1 = error (set in the event
of overflow/underflow)
Bit 2 = always 0

Interference frequency
suppression
The input filter is used to suppress interfering mains
frequency signal components. The frequency
depends on the application location and can be set
with module-level granularity.
0: 10 Hz
The mains frequency is 10 Hz
1: 50 Hz
*)
The mains frequency is 50 Hz
(e.g., Europe)

Factory setting
The settings are transmitted to the I/O module using the
[Write]
button.
Be aware of process value resolution change!
Activating SIEMENS S5 format changes the process value resolution. Specific
information about resolutions is available in Section “Process Data” > “Overview
of Sensor Types.”
