Selecting the needle

If the needle, fabric and thread are matched, your machine will sew smoothly. An
unsuitable needle forces the thread through the fabric instead of allowing it to
glide through smoothly. This results in the sewing thread breaking, being
damaged or the sewing machine skipping stitches.
For safety’s sake, always use original W6 WERTARBEIT needles.

Checking the needle

Use of needles
Only use W6 WERTARBEIT 130/705 H system needles.
Never use bent, worn or inferior quality needles.
Never use needles with bent or damaged tips.
CAUTION
Risk of injury posed by breaking needles
Worn or damaged needles may break and damage the machine. There is a risk
of injury posed by uncontrolled, moving parts.

Replace worn or damaged needles.
Checking the needle. Top: straight; bottom: bent.
It is easy to check whether a needle is bent. Place the needle on a flat surface
such as the sewing machine or on the needle plate of the sewing machine and
check it from all sides.
