A well functioning and maintained cooling
system is as important to the engine as per-
forming regular oil changes or using good
fuel. To get the best result it is very impor-
tant to use quality products and to service
the system at the right intervals. Please
read this section carefully.

The cooling system consists of a liquid that
is pumped by a gear driven coolant pump
that keeps the flow through the engine to
the radiator. The radiator gives off heat to
the air as it passes through and air flow is
helped by the engine fan. For a quick
warm-up of the engine, a thermostat regu-
lates the flow of coolant.

Coolant is toxic; risk of poisoning. Do
not drink coolant. Use proper hand pro-
tection when handling. Keep coolant out
of reach of children and animals. Failure
to follow these precautions can cause se-
rious illness or death.

CAUTION

Never add coolant to a hot or overheated
engine. Engine damage can result. Allow
the engine to cool first.
