WARNING
Please note the following for all procedures:
♦ The diesel additive must not drain into sewerage and not
soak into the soil. If leaks occur, immediately bind and
eliminate.
♦ The additive container is under pressure! Before opening
the system, place a cloth around the connection and re‐
duce pressure by carefully loosening the connection!
♦ Collect fluid in a container e.g. when lines are drained
empty etc.!
♦ Route lines of all types, e.g. fuel lines, additive lines as
well as electrical wires, so that the cable guide is in original
condition.
♦ Ensure sufficient clearance to all movable or hot compo‐
nents.
4.4.2
General
Note
♦
The additive container connections are found behind a cover
on the tank cap.
♦
The additive container has a capacity of approx. 4.5 to 5 litres.
♦
Only use new fluid.
♦
The part number of the 1.0 litre container is -G 052 143 A2-
♦
If the residual capacity in the additive container is less than 0.3
litre, this is shown on display in the combi instrument.
4.4.3
Removing sealing plug
– Open tank flap and remove tank cap.
– Place cap -2- at top of tank flap.
The connections for the additive container system are found be‐
hind the cover -1-
– Carefully pull cover out of mounting -arrow-.
Note
Now the cover is only secured to the drain hose.
