How to de-aerate the hydraulic system
Operate the way valve for a period of min. 10 minutes at a setpoint sine rhythm (4 mA
to 20 mA). Alternatively, it is possible to also run the setpoint via a ramp. Should it not
be possible to specify a setpoint sine rhythm, connect a setpoint source directly to the
way valve. Enter setpoint w = 20 mA, connect it with the relevant terminals to the
junction box and disconnect them again. As a consequence, the cylinder connected to
outlet A moves to 100% stroke and, on disconnection from the setpoint input, it
realizes a shutdown.

Check the line installation, connection and flow direction to and on the way valve.

Check the electric connection.

Switch on the oil supply system and check the supply pressure.

Switch on the power supply.

Predefine setpoint w = 4 mA and check the reaction of the consumer connected to
outlet A.

Switch on the power supply

Enter setpoint w = 0 mA.

Switch on nominal pressure

After 5 minutes, switch on setpoint w = 4 mA.

Operate the way valve for a period of at least 10 minutes at a setpoint sine rhythm
(4 mA to 20 mA). Alternatively, it is possible to run the setpoint via a ramp
(attention: longer de-aeration time!). Should it not be possible to specify a setpoint
sine rhythm, connect a setpoint source directly to the way valve. Enter setpoint w
= 20 mA, connect it with the relevant terminals to the junction box and disconnect
them again. As a consequence, the way valve moves to 100% stroke and, on
disconnection from the setpoint input, it realizes a shutdown. This is also possible
with connected valve.
WARNING
 Do not stay in the danger zone of the connecting area during the de-aeration
process if no guard is mounted!
During the test run, check all hydraulic connections for leaks. In case of leaks,
immediately switch off the hydraulic supply system and remedy the leakage.
NOTICE
 If with the piston to be positioned, for instance, a valve is adjusted, on
connection it has to be ensured that the valve stop is the 0% position in the
actuator, and not the inner stop of the piston.
