After optimizing KPU and KPD, repeat the adjustment of FM, X0 and X1, if
necessary.
6.2.4 Adjustment of operating frequency SF
NOTICE
Potentiometer SF may only be adjusted upon prior consultation with Voith
Turbo GmbH & Co. KG, Crailsheim.
If at operating temperature, the piston rod of the actuator vibrates with high frequency
(sensible or visible by means of mechanical dial gauge), increase the operating
frequency SF via the SF potentiometer until there are no more vibrations (pointer of
dial gauge stands still). Adjustment of operating frequency is only allowed with the
actuator having reached operating temperature.
6.2.5 Adjustment of the hydraulic center position
NOTICE
Potentiometer FM may only be adjusted upon prior consultation with Voith
Turbo GmbH & Co. KG, Crailsheim.
NOTICE
To avoid any deviation between setpoint w and the actual value remote
indication, a magnetic force offset is set with potentiometer FM so that with a
setpoint of 12 mA the control deviation becomes 0.
For setpoints of w = 12 mA, minor deviations regarding the actual value remote
indication may occur.
Run the way vale until it has reached operating temperature and check the supply
pressure.
Enter setpoint w = 12.00 mA.
Set actual value remote indication with FM to 12 ± 0.05 mA.
Effective direction of FM:
The magnetic force or actual position remote indication increases by turning the
potentiometer clockwise.
6.2.6 Factory setting
The way valve has been preset at the factory and, normally, has to be adapted on the
jobsite to the real operating conditions.
