Installing the Bill Acceptor System

The Eccellenza Café uses the “MDB–Level 3” protocol to communicate with a compatible

coin changer and bill acceptor. Although several coin changers and bill acceptors are

available with this protocol from different manufacturers, VKI has thoroughly tested and

validated ONLY the following coin changer units and bill acceptors for proper operation

with the Eccellenza Café:

NOTE: A bill acceptor must be installed with a coin changer in order to function.
It is highly recommended that you acquire the “Operation & Service” manuals for each of

these changers and bill acceptors from Coinco

(

). These sophisticated units

are highly customizable and may require direct configuration through their own respective

software, which is totally independent of the Eccellenza Café software configuration. Please

note that after the changer software is configured, the machine must be switched

off and on again to recognize the changes that were made to the changer software.

Install the bill acceptor housing skirt and levelers

Remove the bill acceptor housing from its packaging.

Open the bill acceptor housing door and remove the housing’s front skirt and two

levelers, which are stored inside.

Install the two levelers onto the bottom of the housing.

Install the skirt onto the bottom front of the housing and secure it in place with the

two screws provided.
