This compressor contains parts which
may reach a very high temperature
during operation. In order to avoid
burns, do not touch any of these
elements.
2.8 - MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
Make sure that the compressor
is disconnected from the
electrical supply before carrying out
any maintenance.
Replace worn or damaged parts
immediately, so that the machine is
always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
The compressor must be carefully
cleaned after each use.
Do not use aggressive cleaning
products. These products may damage
plastics and metals, compromising the
safe operation of the equipment.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in
this instruction manual may be carried
out; all other works must be performed
by an official distributor.
Keep all the nuts and screws well
tightened in order to ensure a safe
operation.
If any components or safety devices are
removed for maintenance works, they
must be repositioned immediately.
Use only VITO-approved tools for this
machine or technically identical parts.
Not doing so may result in personal
injuries or damages to the machine. In
case of doubt, you should contact an
official distributor.
2.9 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
This compressor must be repaired only
by the brand official technical service
or by qualified technicians and only
with original replacement parts.
3. ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
The compressor must be assembled
with its wheels and over a horizontal
and plain surface that bears the weight
and the vibrations while operating.
Never use the compressor with an
inclination higher than 15°.
If the compressor is going to be
installed permanently in a stationary
structure, it is recommended to use
shock absorbers between the tank’s
supports and fixation structure. The
compressor must not be fixed in the
supporting base directly by the tank’s
supports.
The compressor must be installed
in a well ventilated area and with
enough space for maintenance works.
Make sure the distance between the
compressor and any obstacles is
enough to perform these works. It is
recommended at least 50cm way from
any wall or object.
Avoid long air pipes and power
extensions. If possible, the compressor
should be installed nearby the
equipments that are going to consume
the compressed air produced.
Install the compressor in a clean, dry
and well ventilated place. Never install
it in damp or with water projection
places.
Assemble the compressor in places
free of dust, chemicals, steams,
explosives and flammable gases.
3.1 - WHEELS ASSEMBLY
Stationary wheels
(FIG. B)
:
1. Place the wheels (22) in the support
shafts, placed in the compressed air
tank’s supports;
2. Place the wheels’ washers and fixing
keys;
Spinning wheels
(FIG. C)
:
1. Insert the spinning wheels fixing
screw (27) into the front supports’
holes (1) of the compressed air tank
(25);
2. Insert the tightening washers and
nuts into the fixing screws;
3. Tighten the tightening nuts.
3.2 - TRANSPORTATION
HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FIG. D)
1. Fit the transportation handle edges
(5) into the fixing holes;
2. Tighten the four fixing screws;
3.3 - COMPRESSED AIR PIPES/
HOSES CONNECTIONS (FIG. E)
The compressor provides compressed
air through 3 types of connection:
• In a stationary installation with
rigid pipes, use the tank top
outlets (21):
1. Remove the cover with an hexagonal
key;
2. Tighten the stationary pipes
connecting accessory;
The top outlets allow the connection of
pipes with bigger diameters.
It is not possible to regulate de outlet
pressure.
• In a stationary installation
with flexible pipes, use the
outlet valve for flexible system
connection (20):
1. Insert the hose connecting accessory
into the outlet valve quick connector;
It is not possible to regulate de outlet
pressure.
• Quick connection valves (3):
1. Insert the air guns or tools’ flexible
hose connecting accessory into the
