switched off and all the pressure is
released before disconnecting the
hoses.
If a under pressure hose unclasps, the
user must deviate from the action ray of
possible whippings. If possible, stop the
compressor immediately.
If the outlet valve hose is pulled off
with the compressor under pressure,
hold the hose junction in a way to avoid
injuries.
Compressed air is dangerous. Do not
point a jet of air at another person,
animals, equipments or electrical
installations. Never discharge
compressed air against your clothes to
remove the dust.
Never place your hand or other body
part in front of the air pistol. The air jet
may cause serious injuries.
Every time there is an air leakage, it
is a sign of anomaly or failure. Stop
the compressor, check and repair the
leakages.
While operating, check regularly if the
compressor’s engine switches off when
the maximum pressure is reached.
Incidents with compressors are usual
and, in most cases, possible to prevent.
These incidents may cause serious
injuries and lead to death.
2.4 - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN PAINTING WITH
COMPRESSED AIR
Always wear face masks when painting
with compressed air guns, especially
if chemicals are being used. Respect
manufacturer’s instructions concerning
the chemical substances.
Do not use paint or solvents with an
inflammation point under 55ºC.
Do not smoke nearby the working area
while painting. The spray steam is
easily flammable.
Do not keep food and drinks nearby
the working area. The spray steam is
very harmful.
The working area must be superior
to 30m3 and must be well ventilated
while painting and drying.
Do not paint in the opposite direction
of the wind.
2.5 - SAFETY IN PRESSURE
TANKS
Check the pressure tank before starting
the compressor. Check the existence
of rust and damages. The compressor
must not be started if there are any of
these symptoms.
2.6 - BEFORE OPERATING
Make sure that the compressor is
only used by who is familiar with the
instruction manual.
To ensure a safe operation, you must:
Check the power tool before using
it. Check that all the accessories are
correctly assembled and attached to
the machine and in good conditions.
Never use damaged accessories;
Verify if there are any misalignments
in the moving parts or any condition
that may affect its normal operation. All
moving parts must spin softly, without
abnormal noises;
Make sure that the switch is off when
you plug in the power cable. If the
button is damaged or doesn’t allow
controlling the compressor’s operation,
it must be repaired or replaced in order
to prevent an unintentional start. Do
not use any equipment when it is not
possible to control de switch;
Remove any adjusting key or tool
before turning on the compressor. A
stuck key inside the rotating accessory
might cause injuries;
Check if the safety devices are
in perfect conditions and working
correctly. Never use the machine if
any safety device is missing, inhibited,
damaged or worn;
 The protection devices and damaged
parts must be replaced or repaired by
the technical assistance;
Perform all the needed adjustments
and in case of doubts ask your
distributor for assistance.
2.7 - WHILE OPERATING
Keep other people away from
the working area. Never use
the compressor if animals or people,
particularly children, are nearby.
Keep the working area clean, organized
and well illuminated (brightness from
250 to 300 lux), in order to reduce
the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective
equipment. Wearing safety goggles,
safety masks, ear protection, non-slip
safety footwear, long sleeve clothing,
gloves and helmet under proper
conditions reduces the risk of injuries.
Anyone who approaches the working
area must be properly equipped.
Objects can be projected while the
compressor is running and accidently
harm whoever is nearby.
The clothing worn while operating the
compressor must be appropriate and
tight, such as a work coverall. Do not
wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep
hair, clothing and gloves away from the
moving parts.
The control and safety devices installed
in the machine must not be removed or
inhibited.
Keep the rotating parts’ protections in
their right places.
Make sure the ventilation grids are not
obstructed while the compressor is
running. Do not cover them.
