2. GENERAL USE &

SAFETY WARNINGS

While using this compressor,

several basic safety

precautions must always be followed

in order to reduce the risk of fire,

electric shocks and personal injuries.

Read and understand the

manual before start using this

equipment. Save this manual for

future reference.

2.1 - GENERAL

These preventive measures are

essential for your safety. Always use the

compressor with care in a responsible

manner having in consideration that

its user is responsible for eventual

accidents caused to third parties or

their goods.

Make sure that all individuals using

the compressor have had the

necessary training and have read

and fully understand these operating

instructions.

This instruction manual is an integral

part of the compressor and must

always be provided.

Get familiar with the equipment’s

control devices and operation. The user

must know how to stop the compressor

immediately.

Use this compressor only if you are in

good physical and mental conditions.

Do not use this equipment if you are

tired or under the influence of alcohol,

drugs or medication. If you suffer from

any health problem, please ask your

doctor about the possibility of using the

compressor.

Never allow the compressor to

be used by children, people with

limited physical, sensorial or mental

capabilities, with lack of experience and

knowledge of this equipment and who

is not familiar with the instructions.

This compressor must only be operated

as described in this instruction manual.

No other use is allowed besides the

described.

Do not overload the compressor and

use it properly for each type of work.

Using this equipment for purposes

other than the intended may result in

dangerous situations.

For safety reasons, any changes other

than the assembly of accessories

authorized by the manufacturer are

prohibited. Any changes made void the

You can obtain any information about

the authorized accessories through

your VITO official distributor.

2.2 - ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Do not use this compressor in

an explosive environment,

especially in the presence of flammable

liquids, gases or dusts. Any power tool

may form sparks that might ignite

liquids, gases, or dust.

Do not expose any power tools to rain

or use them in wet or damp

environments. The presence of water in

an electric tool increases the risk of

damage and electric shock to the user.

The supply voltage must match

the compressor’s technical

specifications. Keep voltage between

+- 5% of nominal value. Do not use the

equipment where the power supply isn’t

stable.

The power cable must be plugged into

an electrical outlet with a differential

protection and earth connection. If the

working area is extremely hot, damp or

with high dust concentration, the power

outlet circuit must be protected with a

circuit breaker (30mA), to ensure the

user’s safety.

Never use the power cable to pull,

carry or unplug the tool. Damaged

power cables increase the risk of

electric shock.

Keep the power cable and plug away

from heat sources, oil, sharp objects

and the rotating accessory. If the power

cable is damaged, it must be replaced

by a qualified technician; it is not

allowed to repair it.

Do not modify the power cable plug.

Use a compatible socket with the plug

of this compressor. Do not use any type

of adapter.

The use of extension cords to connect

the power cable is not recommended.

However, if you use an extension, you

should take some precautions, such as:

If using this machine outdoors, use

only suitable extension cords for

outdoor use. Using a proper extension

cord reduces de risk of electric shock;

Use only extension cords with 3

cables, plugs and sockets with earth

connection;

The extension cable section must be

proportional to the length and have

equal or higher characteristics to the

compressor’s power cord;

Do not use damaged extension cords.

Check them before using and replace

if necessary;

When it’s an extension cord reel, unroll

the entire cable;

 Always unplug the extension cord

before removing the compressor’s

power cable;
