6.6. Recycling the Used Batteries and the UPS
WARNING & CAUTION:
Do not throw the batteries into normal waste or in a fire (risk of explosion).
Do not throw the UPS, the sealed lead-acid batteries and the electrical or electronic material (WEEE) into normal
waste. According to local codes, everything must be disposed properly in a center for recycling or for hazardous
waste. Contact such a center for detailed information.
Do not open the battery(-ies) and do not damage them wilful. Released electrolytes are harmful to skin and eyes.
It may be toxic.
