00 Disc Capacity Model
– 4, 6 or 8 Writers
This system has five spindles (see Figure 1-5) that hold approximately 250 discs each (actual quantity
varies depending on the media thickness) for a total of 500 Disc duplication capacity. Spindle 1 and spindle
2 are the input spindles. Spindle 3 and Spindle 4 are the output spindles where spindle 5 is the output
spindle for failed/NG discs. Stack the blank media you wish to copy on Spindle 1 and 2 (see Figure 1-2 on
page 3 for proper media stacking). The robotic arm will pick blank discs from Spindle 1 first then place the
successfully copied discs onto Spindle 3. Once Spindle 1 is empty, it picks blank discs from Spindle 2, and
places the successfully copied discs onto Spindle 4. Rejected discs, also referred to as Failed/NG discs,
and are placed onto spindle 5. (Throughout this manual, this area is also referred to as the
“Reject Area”).
