Unscrew the caps on the external unit
fill valves, open both fill valves and
refit the caps.
Note
When the heat pump starts, both fill
valves must be open.
7.
Enter the amount of refrigerant top-
ped up on the type plate and in the
operator's log.
Information for systems with a fill-
ing capacity of 3.0 kg R410A or
more:
■ The operator's log must be main-
tained.
■ An annual tightness test is manda-
tory.

Checking the refrigerant circuit for tightness
Danger
R410A is a non-poisonous gas
that displaces air. Uncontrolled
escape of refrigerant R410A in
enclosed spaces can result in dif-
ficulties in breathing and suffoca-
tion.
■ Ensure adequate ventilation in
enclosed rooms.
■ Observe and adhere to regula-
tions and guidelines about han-
dling refrigerant.
Danger
Direct contact with refrigerant
can harm skin.
Wear safety goggles and protec-
tive gloves when working on the
refrigerant circuit.
Check all connections for refrigerant
leaks:
■ All swaged connections of the refrig-
erant lines between the internal and
the external unit.
■ Solder joints and threaded fittings of
the refrigerant lines in the internal and
external units.
Note
Work on the refrigerant circuit may only
by carried out by certified personnel
(according to EC Directives 842/2006
and 303/2008).
