The “
INPUTS
”
tab includes the configuration tabs for “
IN1
“ and “
IN2
” active low inputs.
For each input are available two operating modes:
•
“Local Bell”
used as input for the bell button outside the apartment/office etc.
•
“Do Action”
used to trigger a relay output of the system.
In
“Local Bell” mode
when the input is enabled, the intercom rings with a melody that will be different from the melody of an exter-
nal call or intercommunicating call: a typical application of this operating mode is for the bell button outside the apartment door.
In
“Do Action”
mode, when the input is enabled, you can choose to carry out an action depending on the monitor status:
• “
IN STANDBY
” when the monitor is switched off;
• “
IN CONVERSATION AND RINGING
” when the videophone is in use because of an external call while the inputs are ignored
during intercommunicating calls.
For each input, for both operating conditions, you can
1. Disable the input: means that no actions are carried out when the input is activated.
2. Trigger relay 1 or 2 of the door panel currently connected (only for “IN CONVERSATION AND RINGING” status).
3. Trigger a specific relay of a specific door panel (i.e. “pedestrian gate” of main entrance door panel) or a specific relay of an ethernet
relay (i.e. “irrigator” of Garden ethernet relay).
Thanks to the inputs feature, it is possible to connect local buttons so to add direct function buttons to the existing intercom but-
tons. In the example of
the “IN1” it is used for the local bell while the “IN2”
it is used to open the gym door controlled
by the “service relay” so the user, when the local bell rings, can press the button linked to “IN2” input so to open the door directly
without pick up the handset to answer.
The examples mentioned above are only some of the possible uses of the inputs but being that the input status can also trigger a
remote relay, the inputs can be used in a number of ways.
The “
SIP
” tab (
) allows to configure the intercom to work with third party SIP servers. Please refer to SIP server specification
to set all required parameters (“
CLIENT SETTINGS
”, “
VIDEO CODEC
” and “
AUDIO CODEC
” settings). The intercom can work at the
same time with third party SIP server and with VIDEX system. When a call starts, all involved devices will ring according to cascade
settings, the first device that answer will stop call to others.
The “
ADV.
” tab (
) can be used to set the admin password for password used to protect certain settings (audio & video qual-
ity adjustmens), for network connection quality “
KEEP ALIVE SETTINGS
” and allows the installer to unlink the device from VIDEX
CLOUD. If for any reason you need to remove the device from the system, the unlink is required otherwise the device remains linked
to the same installation. If the device is not linked to VIDEX CLOUD, the “Unlink...” button is disabled and a red background warning
advises that the device is not linked to VIDEX CLOUD.
After completing all settings, click on the button “
Apply All Changes
” to transfer the configuration to the videophone and await the
notice “
device correctly updated
”.
Repeat the same steps for all other videophones connected on the system.
