SETTING UP AN INTERCOM 3196
In the device list (
), click on the button “Edit Properties” of one “INTERCOM” (VX 3196). If you are unsure which intercom is
which, you can enable the flag “Accept Connections from Devices” under the software preferences then press any button on the
intercom to open the settings for that intercom.
The “
INTERCOM SETTINGS
” window (
) shows the following device information:
•
The Device Model
•
The firmware version
•
The hardware version
Then there is a section of editable fields*:
•
The Device IP
•
The Subnet Mask
•
The Gateway IP
•
The DNS 1
•
The DNS 2
•
The Device ID
•
The Device Description
*If you are not sure, contact your system administrator to set the correct IP Address, subnet mask and Gateway.
It is recommended to set a descriptive “
DEVICE DESCRIPTION
” that identifies the area where the device is installed i.e. “Ground
Floor”, “Kitchen” etc.
For all intercom buttons, it is possible to configure their function depending on the videophone status: stand-by, in conversation
and/or ringing.
In the “
GENERAL
” tab (
) you have the following:
• “AUDIO SETTINGS” Section
» Check the “Noise Attenuation” flag to improve audio quality in case of noisy environments.
» The “Number Of Rings” listbox allows to set the number of rings for the selected intercom.
» The “Ringtone” listbox allows to set the melody for the selected intercom.
• “RINGTONE REPEATER” Section. Under this section it is possible to enable a relay when the intercom starts to ring. This allows to
activate an additional sounder or a blinker to recognize the call if required.
» Select relay 1 or 2 of the videophone: the output will be activated as per relevant programming. If the programming is “Puls-
es/Ringtone repeater” the activation will stop as soon as the handset is picked up.
» Select an ethernet relay then select one of relevant relay: the output will be activated as per relevant programming. If the
programming of the ethernet relay is “Pulses/Ringtone repeater” the activation will stop as soon as the handset is picked up.
» Select “disabled” to disable the feature.
In the example of the picture this feature is disabled.
The “
BUTTONS
” tab allows to configure the intercom’s buttons. All the buttons are configured in the same manner
For each button is available a different programming depending on the status of the device:
• “
IN STANDBY
”
• “
IN CONVERSATION & RINGING
”
For the “
STANDBY
” status, when the button is pressed, it is executed an action depending on the following configuration:
• Disabled - When the button is pressed no operations are executed.
• Trig Remote Output - When the button is pressed it is enabled the configured “relay” of the selected “device”.
• Start Camera Recall - When the button is pressed starts the camera recall to the selected “door panel”.
• Start call to intercom - When the button is pressed starts an intercommunicating call to the programmed device.
• Enable/Disable Privacy Mode - When the button is pressed it is enabled/disabled the service. When enabled, the service is auto-
matically disabled when expires the timer set or when it is pressed again the button.
• Start SIP (Voip) call - When the button is pressed starts an intercommunicating VOIP call the programmed SIP ID.
For the “
IN CONVERSATION & RINGING
” status, when the button is pressed, it is executed an action depending on the following
configuration:
• Disabled - When the button is pressed no operations are executed.
• Trig Remote Output - When the button is pressed it is enabled the configured “relay” of the selected “device”.
• Trig Current Door Panel Output - When the button is pressed it is triggered the relay 1 or 2 (depends on the settings) of the door-
panel that is currently connected to the intercom (only if the connected device is a door panel).
• Send DTMF - When the button is pressed it is sent a DTMF tone to the currently connected device.
