8. Select the camera number using the Camera field.
9. Access the Play Motion Zone Setup screen by selecting Define Motion Zones.
10. This screen allows you to define motion zone parameters during playback search. These settings do not
affect the settings that you chose in the Motion Detection screen, although the screens are identical. Turn
on (enable) or turn off (disable) motion detection in each of the zones in a camera’s field of view. Zones
are represented onscreen by individual boxes on the grid. An asterisk represents an enabled zone; blank
zones are disabled. Use the up/down arrow keys to select a row and then use the 1-16 keys to
enable/disable the zones in that row. Use the Zoom +/- keys to enable/disable entire rows at once. The
Motion Search feature will search through video with motion detected in the enabled zones only.
11. Use the Motion Sensitivity to define a motion threshold for playing back video. To be played back with
Motion Search, the recorded video must have motion detected in the zones enabled in the previous step
and must meet the relative threshold set in the Motion Sensitivity setting.
12. Use the Start Search setting to test the various Motion Sensitivity settings and/or view recorded video
under the restrictions discussed in this section.

Schedules
You may define up to eight unique schedules in the AurorAcorD. Scheduling allows you to define the time
and day for four types of actions to occur automatically. These actions are listed here and continued on the
next page:
•
changing the Record List. Normally you will define which cameras will be recorded by pressing
the Record key to display the Record List Selection screen, as discussed in the Recording
sections of the Programming and Operation chapters. To change the Record List automatically
on a schedule, use the Schedule Record List.
•
changing what will happen when a motion is detected (update video more often, activate
alarms, update video more often and activate alarms or disable the motion detection function).
This function is normally defined in the Set Motion Processing screen, as discussed in the
Motion Detection screen. For scheduling this function, use the Schedule Motion Processing
screen.
•
changing the enabled or disabled state of receiver alarms. Use the Schedule Receiver Alarms
screen to define the receiver state on a schedule. Use the Receiver Alarms screen for non-
scheduled definition, as discussed in the Alarms section.
