2.2.3.1.5 ScreenGeom editor
The screen geometry script editor is used to define the shape of the screen, edge by edge, so that the
automated routine can correctly position the Screen Geometry test point set. Each corner of the screen is
defined by selecting a valid intersection near the actual screen corner. These defined corner points
MUST be selected in either a clockwise or a counter-clockwise direction. The number of additional test
points per screen edge is also defined.
The steps to be followed to complete the process are listed below.
1. Define the corner point list.
a. MOVE: Move the camera’s field of view by either double clicking on the image in the
appropriate region (i.e. clicking on the image closer to the
“P-B”
tag, shifts the view in
that direction. Alternatively, type in new coordinates in the
X
and
Y
edit boxes and press
the
Move
button to move to a known location.
b. SELECT: Select an existing point, and move the motor to its coordinates by clicking on
an existing corner point in the list.
c. ADD: Add new points to the list by moving the view finder to the appropriate test point on
the screen, Click the Add button to add the location to the list as a new point.
d. UPDATE: Select an existing point, and re-position the motor. Click the Update button to
change the selected point.
e. CLEAR: Click the Clear button to erase the existing point list and start over.
f. HELP: Click the Help button to display help text similar to this summary.
g. If the need arises, click the AGC button to make sure that the pattern is visible in the
camera field of view.
2. Specify an integer for “TPs per edge” . This determines the number of test points to be found
along that edge by the automated routine during
“Init TP Setup”
step. Typical installations
will use “4” TPs per edge. For a four sided screen, this will create 20 test points (4 test points per
edge plus one for each of the user selected corners).
