AU User Controls, Settings and Operation
test scores are obtained. If necessary, some of the visibility parameters
may be manually adjusted, or the complexity level of the AGC operation
may be elevated until AGC completes successfully. All scores from a
test must be above 50% to achieve a successful completion.
NOTE:
If manually adjusting the visibility parameters, it is desirable to drive the
projector’s contrast and G2 as little as possible. It is therefore better to
increase the Camera Gain parameter before attempting to increase the
projector contrast or G2 levels.
b) Subsequent test points can be set to the same levels as the initial test
point (Use the Copy Before and Copy After buttons). It is not necessary
to perform the AGC calibration on every point. This will happen
automatically in the calibration process.
6)
Change the IG to display the Geometry test pattern and return to the Automatic Setup
dialog. If a configuration file that contains a valid Center TP set is being used, skip to step
2.7.
a.
Run the
Initial TP setup
for the
Center Geometry
test point set.
7)
Enter the
Center Geometry Maintenance Window
, and if necessary, re-locate the test
points close to the displayed rectangular cursor.
a.
Use the Basic Motor tab and position each of the test points on a valid
intersection close to the displayed rectangular cursor (check “Cursor” to force the
Maintenance Window to display the cursor).
IMPORTANT:
The test point should
be centered on the closest intersection to the cursor, not necessarily on the
cursor itself.
b.
Use the Visibility tab to adjust the visibility settings. The calibration routine will
fine tune the Visibility (or AGC calibration) for all test points in the set, so this
step may be skipped if desired.
a) For the first test point, perform the
AGC calibrate
routine until acceptable
test scores are obtained.
It is therefore better to
increase the Camera Gain parameter before attempting to increase the
projector contrast or G2 levels.
b) Subsequent test points can be set to the same levels as the initial test
point (Use the
Copy Before
and
Copy After
buttons). It is not necessary
to perform the AGC calibration on every point as this will happen
automatically in the calibration process.
NOTE:
(s/w 2.0.20060721) After exiting the
Center Geometry Maintenance Window
,
it may be necessary to enter the
Automated Setup Dialog
and manually
change the setup flag for Initial
TP Setup > Center
to indicate a
completed operation (green color).
8)
Return to the
Automatic Setup
and run the
ScreenGeom script editor
(make sure the
Geometry test pattern is still set in the IG). Wait for the screen editor window to initialize
and the window buttons to activate.
a.
Double click the mouse pointer in the display window to adjust the camera
position in one direction. Repeat this step until you reach the edge of the facet.
Then double click on the window following the edge of the display facet until you
locate a corner of the facet.
b.
Locate the valid test point (as defined in section 2.3.4.1) closest to the facet
corner and double click on it to center it in the window. Then press the
“>>”
button.
