Terminal Program
In case the terminal program
NCTerminal
fails to connect to the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
Terminal Port, check:
l
Is the right COM-port interface of the PC selected for the termi-
nal program and are the settings correct?
l Is the cable connected to the terminal and not the data port of
the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
.
l The default settings of 19.200 kbit/s, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit (8N1) should be programmed for the terminal program
NCTerminal
.
l If the data exchange between the terminal program
NCTermi-
nal
and the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
still does not work,
check the serial cable.
Troubleshooting Connection
Problems
If you fail to connect to a
VideoJet
XS/GS
sender from a hardware
receiver
VideoJet
XE/GE
, check the following points in order to
pinpoint the problem:
l Be sure not to connect two units of the same type, e.g. receiver
to receiver.
l
Check all cable connections.
l Check whether there is a bit clock and that it is within permissi-
ble values.
l
Ensure that the X.21/G.703 leased line connection is switched
through.
