Installation of the
NCTerminal
Program
The setup program installs the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
Terminal
program in the selected directory and creates an icon.
Starting the Terminal Program
One of the serial ports of the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
device is
connected directly to one of the COM ports of the PC using the con-
figuration cable included in the scope of supply. The
VideoJet
X.21/G.703
device must not be connected to the power supply
until it has been connected to the PC.
To start the terminal program, click twice on the new icon or start
the program from the file manager or the Windows Explorer. When
the software is started up, the field “Local device” changes to yellow
as soon as a
VideoJet X.21/G.703
device has been found and
responds. If the field remains grey, the connection between the
Vid-
eoJet X.21/G.703
and the PC, and the PC port setting must be
checked. The port parameters can be configured in the system
menu (click with the mouse on the symbol in the top left-hand cor-
ner) of the software under “Interface”. It is important to select the
correct COM port.
To install the
VideoJet X.21/G.703
terminal program under
Windows98, place the installation diskette in the disk drive, start
“Software” in the control panel and select “Install”. The program
then guides you through the installation procedure.
