Commissioning configuration
7.1.
Factory settings
When delivered from the factory, the relay has been given
factory default settings or settings defined by the customer.
The actual configuration can be read from the workshop test
reports or from the final test reports.
7.1.1.
Configuration during commissioning
The settings of the generator protection relay VAMP 210 can be
defined and checked during commissioning in accordance with
the instructions given in chapter 5 of this manual, for example,
in the following order:
1.
Define the rated values of the generator and the prime
mover (Conf/Power scaling menu). If the shaft power of the
prime mover is unknown, set P
m
= S
gn
2.
Unit transformer to be used: Set parameter Trafo = Yes, but
only if the voltage is measured on the HV side of the unit
transformer and the current on the LV side.
3.
If a unit transformer is used also set the following
parameters:
•
unit transformer HV side rated voltage UnBB,
•
unit transformer LV side rated voltage Ungs,
•
unit transformer vector group ConGrp in degrees. E.g.
YNd11 = -30°, where 0, 1,...,6 correspond to the angles
0°, +30°,...,180° and 11, 10,..., 7 correspond to the
angles -30°, -60°,..., -150°
4.
Scaling of the rated values of the phase currents
(Conf/Current scaling menu)
5.
Scaling of the rated values of the (phase-to phase) voltages
(Conf/Voltage scaling menu)
6.
Scaling of the rest of the rated values (Conf menu): Io1n,
Sgn, etc.
The scaling is done in the software block of the measured
signals, Figure 7.1.1-1. Thus the scaling will affect all
protection functions.
