Setting the display contrast
The display contrast can be configured according to the
following method. Use this setting to adjust the contrast if the
display is hard to see.
The display contrast setting is recorded on the UDMR, not on
the memory card.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator will light up.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '11.1 DISPLAY
CONTRAST' then press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to adjust the display
contrast then press the SELECT dial.
A higher value (up to 10) will make the display darker,
while a lower value (down to -10) will make it lighter.
4. The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the
ENTER button to execute the operation.
To cancel the operation, turn the SELECT dial to
'CANCEL' then press the ENTER button.
Once the setting is complete, the display returns to the
settings selection screen.
5. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
Pressing the MODE button mid-setting displays a confirmation
screen asking you whether or not to cancel the setting. Please
note that selecting 'YES' and pressing the ENTER button
returns you to the default screen and cancels all settings made
up to that point.
Language setting
The following procedure can be used to change the language
displayed on the UDMR screen.
The Japanese version of the Owner's Manual explains the
UDMR functions based on the unit's Japanese setting. Please
therefore note that the descriptions appearing in the Japanese
manual do not match the display for the English setting.
The language setting is recorded on the UDMR, not on the
memory card.
1. Turn the power on while holding down the
MODE button.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to select the display
language.
3. Press the ENTER button.
Switch off the power after the 'Turn power off' message
appears.
4. Turn the power back on.
The screen appears in the selected language.
