6. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
Pressing the MODE button mid-setting displays a confirmation
screen asking you whether or not to cancel the setting. Please
note that selecting 'YES' and pressing the ENTER button
returns you to the default screen and cancels all settings made
up to that point.
Channel fade settings
If the phrase switchover has been set to 'FADE' (p.86), you
can switch the fade function on or off for each DMX channel.
Using the fade function on channels being used to send
control commands may cause the device receiving these
commands to operate incorrectly. This problem can be
rectified by turning the fade function off for these channels
This setting will also affect the pattern switchover fade setting
designated for song and pattern phrases.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '9.6 FADE CHANNEL'
then press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to designate the channel to
be configured then press the SELECT dial.
1 - 512:
Designate the channels for which you
wish to disable the fade function.
CUT ALL:
Turns the fade function off for all
channels (i.e. CUT CHANGE).
ALL ON:
Turns the fade function on for all
channels.
END: Completes
the
setting.
4. Turn the SELECT dial to set the fade to ON/OFF
(CUT) then press the SELECT dial.
5. Once you have finished the settings for each
channel, turn the SELECT dial to 'END' then
press the SELECT dial.
The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the ENTER
button to confirm.
To cancel the setting, turn the SELECT dial to 'CANCEL'
then press the ENTER button.
6. Press the MODE button.

Configuring the DMX
playbacktrigger
The UDMR can be controlled from a lighting controller or other
external device via input of DMX signals.
By allocating 10 consecutive DMX channels to the UDMR, you
can control phrase and memory card designation as well as
phrase playback and stop.
The first nine channels are used for phrase selection, while the
10th channel is used to control phrase playback and stop. Up
to 500 phrases (using two memory cards) can be selected and
played back.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '9.7 DMX PLAYBACK
TRIGGER' then press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to designate the DMX
channel to be used then press the SELECT dial.
