17.5.2 ENDING OF THE ADAPTATION WITH ERROR
In case there are serious disturbances of the control loop during the adaptation period,
for example filter back-washing, or if the control loop is too long, the adaptation process
is stopped.
Possible error conditions:
- Starting value not reached
After activation of the adaptation and running the chlorinator to zero or switching
off the dosing pump, the amplifier waits until the measured value has
dropped below the starting value (0.2 * of range). This waiting period is displayed
as "Adapt 02" and must not exceed 8 hours.
- Dead time too big
The period of time measured between the feedrate increase of the chlorinator
respectively starting of the dosing pump and the rise of the measured value must
not exceed one hour. This time measurement is displayed as "Adapt 06".
- Raise time too big
The period of time required for increasing the measured value to 50 % of the
range while the chlorinator or dosing pump are operating at 100 % capacity must
not exceed 4 hours. This time measurement is displayed as "Adapt 09".
If any of the above error conditions occurs, the adaptation is stopped. The amplifier is
switched to the DEFAULT AUTOMATIC mode (display DFT mg/l). In this mode the
amplifier reacts as in the AUTOMATIC mode, but uses the control parameters set prior
to the adaptation process. This condition is also indicated via the COM-card.
The DEFAULT AUTOMATIC mode can be stopped by pressing the "MAN/AUTO" key.
Then the amplifier is in the MANUAL mode.
