12.4.3 ADJUSTMENT OF THE FEEDBACK DISPLAY
In order to compensater for tolerances and possible limitations of the electric positioner
the feedback display must be tuned.
Preconditions:
- Electric positioner is in the AUTO position (handwheel engaged).
- Running time of electric positioner 0..180 sec.
- Electric interlocks of positioner must be inactivated.
- Correct electric connection between positioner and amplifier.
Adjustment:
- Select P menu "Ymin (%)" .
- Press key E.
- Now the automatic adjustment of the feedback display is made. This can be seen
on the status display 1 till 6:

Ym (%) 4 100 % approach
Ym (%) 5 100 % tuning
Ym (%) 6 calculation of positioner running time Ty
- The tuning process is finished when the status display "Ym (%)" extinguishes.
Tuning tolerances: The feedback signal is adjustable by max. 30 % at the zero
(Y 0 %) and range (Y 100 %) values.
Example 1 (potentiometer feedback):
Potentiometer 100 Ohm: max. range 0...100 Ohm
min. range 30...70 Ohm
For feedback signals potentiometers in the range between
100 Ohm and 10 kOhm can be used.
Example 2 (mA feedback):
max. range 0...20 mA
min. range 6...14 mA
The ohmic load is 12 Ohm.
