use and maintenance
5.3 - COMMISSIONING
5.3.1 - RECOMMENDATIONS AND TIPS
The company provides a series of tips to be followed during the
first ignition of the product:
•
During the first hours of operation, fumes and odours may
be generated due to the normal 'thermal run-in' process.
•
During this process, which varies in duration depending on
the product, it is recommended to:
•
Open the windows and ventilate the room where the prod-
uct is installed and the rooms adjacent to it well.
•
Use the product at maximum flame power and tempera
-
ture in order to speed up the 'thermal run-in' process; us-
ing it at low power would impair this process.
•
Avoid prolonged presence in the installation room during
this phase.
•
Do not touch the surfaces of the product and instruct the
inhabitants of the house of this warning.
•
The run-in process may be completed after a few ignition/
extinction cycles.
•
Do not use elements or substances for combustion other
than those indicated in this manual.
•
Use of the product is prohibited if smoke leaks from flue
pipes. In such cases, contact the installer immediately to
rectify the fault.
•
Do not use any flammable liquid to ignite the pellets. The
stove is equipped with a resistor to ignite the flame. In the
event of a resistor failure, contact an authorised techni-
cian.
ATTENTION:
it is advisable to contact an Authorised Technician
to carry out the First Commissioning of the Product
in order to:
Verify correct installation
Check the integrity of the product
Provide some basics for the correct operation and
use of the product in support of this manual.
Check and calibrate the correct combustion
Make any proposals for warranty extension (if
available).
Formulate any extraordinary maintenance propos-
als to be carried out in accordance with this man-
ual.
5.3.2 - PREVENTIVE CHECKS
to be carried out at each ignition
Before switching on the product, a number of checks must be
carried out:
•
If a connection to a hydraulic system is planned, this must
be complete and functional in every part and
•
in accordance with the instructions in the product manual
and the relevant regulations.
•
The pellet hopper must be fully loaded and the loading
door must be perfectly closed.
•
Check that the brazier is correctly positioned (figure 1),
firmly seated in its housing and inserted in the grooves if
present.
•
Check that the brazier housing is well cleared of ash to
ensure proper airflow over the brazier holes.
•
The combustion chamber and brazier must be cleaned ac-
cording to the instructions in this manual under Routine
Cleaning.
•
Check the tightness of the fire door, ash pan and pellet
hopper; these must be closed and free of foreign bodies at
the seals and coupling devices.
•
Check and remove any foreign bodies resting on, to the
side or front of the product (drying cloths, clothing, com-
bustible material in general).
•
Check that the power cable is correctly connected and the
switch (if fitted) is set to position '1'.
•
Check that all routine and extraordinary cleaning opera-
tions have been complied with.
ATTENTION:
preventive checks are also and above all carried
out with the use of time-scheduled ignitions or
other devices (external programmer, app, home
automation, etc.). It is essential to ensure that the
product can be switched on safely for the user and
the environment where it is installed without caus-
ing damage.
