Installation instructions

INSTALLATION
Installation must be performed by skilled and
qualified personnel, who shall be entirely respon
-
sible for final installation and consequent proper
operation of the installed product.
Installation must comply with all national, region-
al, provincial and municipal laws and regulations
in the country in which the appliance is installed,
as well as with the instructions in this manual.
The use of the device must comply with all local,
regional, national and European regulations.
The manufacturer will not be held liable if these
precautions are not observed.
4.1 - PRECONDITIONS
The smoke exhaust, hydraulic and electrical connections must
be carried out by qualified personnel who must issue a certif
-
icate of conformity of the installation in accordance with the
national regulations in force in the country where the product
is installed.
The installer must deliver the declaration of conformity of the
system to the owner or his representative, in accordance with
current legislation, together with:
1. the instruction manual for the appliance and system com-
ponents (e.g. smoke ducts, chimney, etc.);
2. photostatic or photographic copy of the chimney plate
complete with all the required data;
3. plant instruction manual (where applicable).
It is recommended that the installer obtains a re-
ceipt for the documentation delivered and keeps it
together with a copy of the technical documenta-
tion relating to the installation carried out.
In the case of installation in apartment buildings, seek a prior
opinion from the administrator.
Where applicable, carry out an exhaust gas emission test af-
ter installation. If a sampling point is to be set up, it must be
sealed. Sampling must take place in the position indicated by
the standard in force in the country of installation.
4.2 - GENERAL RULES
Installation inside rooms with fire hazards is prohibited.
It is also forbidden to install inside residential premises where
the following cases occur:
1. in which there are liquid fuel appliances with continuous or
discontinuous operation that draw combustion air into the
room in which they are installed.
2. in which there are B-type gas appliances for space heat-
ing, with or without domestic hot water production, and in
adjoining and communicating rooms.
3. in which, however, the negative pressure measured in situ
between the external and internal environment is greater
than 4 Pa.
N.B.: Airtight appliances can also be installed in the cases indi-
cated in points 1, 2, 3 of this paragraph.
4. In bathrooms, bedrooms and one-room apartments, only
airtight or closed fireplace appliances with ducted combus
-
tion air intake from outside are permitted.
4.3 - VENTILATION AND AERATION OF
INSTALLATION ROOMS
Ventilation in the case of non-hermetic generators and/or
non-hermetic installations must be carried out respecting the
minimum area indicated below (considering the largest of the
proposed values) UNI standards: 10683: 2012.
Under all conditions, including the presence of extractor hoods
and/or controlled forced ventilation systems, the pressure dif-
ference between the generator's installation rooms and the out-
side must always be 4 Pa or less.
In the presence of intermittently operating B-type gas appli-
ances not intended for heating, a ventilation opening must be
dedicated to them.
Air intakes must meet the following requirements:
-
be protected by grates, wire mesh, etc., without reducing
the mesh useful section;
-
be constructed in such a way that maintenance operations
are possible;
-
positioned in such a way that they cannot be obstructed;
It is compulsory to provide an adequate external air intake to
allow the supply of combustion air necessary for the correct
operation of the product. The inflow of air between the outside
and the installation room can take place either directly, through
an opening in an external wall of the room; or indirectly, by
drawing air from adjacent rooms permanently communicating
with the installation room. As adjoining rooms, those used as
bedrooms, bathrooms, garages and generally rooms with fire
hazards are to be excluded. During installation, it is necessary
to check the minimum distances required to be able to draw air
from outside. Take into account the presence of doors and win-
dows that could interfere with the proper air flow to the stove.
The air intake must have a total net area of at least 80
cm2
: this
area must be increased accordingly if there are other active
generators inside the room (e.g. electric fan for extracting stale
air, kitchen hood, other stoves, etc.), which can depressurise
the room. It must be ensured that, with all equipment switched
on, the pressure drop between the room and outside does not
exceed 4 Pa.
