Before use
PLEASE NOTE:
This procedure may only be carried out
by an authorised electrician!
Electrical connection:
The protection of the charging system must be carried out in accordance with the relevant national
regulations. It depends on, for example, the switch-off time required, the internal network resistance,
conductor cross section, cable length and the max. capacity of the charging system. The individual
phases of the supply voltage must each be fused with circuit breakers, at least type A (when used in the
Netherlands or Italy they must also have residual current protection, type A on the input side). These
should be certified in accordance with IEC 60898-1, IEC 60947-2 or IEC 61009-1.
If the installation is in the Netherlands or Italy, you will need a type A residual current circuit breaker.
This should be certified in accordance with IEC 61008-1, IEC 61009 -1, IEC 60947-2 and IEC 62423.
The connecting cables should be designed for a current of least 16 A. Depending on the length and
country of installation the electrician should identify the appropriate cross section (e.g.: 6 mm²).
CAUTION:
Please be sure that there is no voltage in the power lines which are to be connected to
the EV charger
1
!
Where possible, the EV charger
1
should be protected from direct rain, in order to prevent icing,
damage from hail or similar, for example. Where possible, do not position the EV charger
1
in
direct sunlight.
The EV charger
1
should be fitted near the power lines which are provided for the charger.
Screw the metallic rear panel
18
to the wall using the dowel
17
and screws
16
. To do this you can
use the metallic rear panel
18
as a template (drill plan).
Undo the 7 screws for the back cover
19
.
Remove the back cover
20
and put it on one side.
Now hang the EV charger
1
onto the metallic rear panel
18
. The hanging holes
21
are used for
mounting the device..
Undo the cable gland
27
.
Guide the connecting cables through the cable guide
27
. Then push the connecting cables through
the rubber guide
15
(use sheathed cable).
Undo the 2 screws
29
of the strain relief
28
.
Guide the electric cable under the strain relief
28
.
Single conductors must not be used for voltage supply. Only use sheathed cable.
Strip the electrical cable by approx. 50 mm.
Strip the individual conductors approx. 7 mm.
Connect the electric cable as follows: Insert the connecting cable into the cable gland.
Connect electric cable L1 to the screw terminal of mains connection L1
30
.
Connect electric cable L2 to the screw terminal of mains connection L2
31
.
Connect electric cable L3 to the screw terminal of mains connection L3
32
.
Connect the neutral electric cable to the neutral screw terminal
33
.
Connect the protective conductor electric cable to the conductor screw terminal
34
.
