TruVision Series 7 IP Camera Configuration Manual
Object counting
This function helps to calculate the number objects entering or exiting a configured area
and is primarily used with entrances or exits
It is recommended that the camera is installed directly above the entrance or exit. It
must be horizontally positioned for accuracy.
Important note: this function cannot distinguish between a moving person and a moving
object. For accurate people counting we recommend using TruVision people counting
cameras TVS-PC1 and TVS-PC2.
To count objects crossing a set line:
1. Click
Configuration

Counting
.
2. Select the
Enable Counting
check box to enable the counting feature.
3. Select the
Enable OSD Overlay
check box to show the “Enter” and “Leave”
counting values in the camera OSD.
4. Click
and draw the detection line. If necessary, click
to change the direction of
flow.
