10. Firmware Update

A firmware update can be done via the web interface. Optionally, a firmware update can be performed
via USB flash drive.

As long as a firmware update is running, the supply voltage should not be
interrupted.
This may take a while but you can see it on the System Status LEDs (see
chapter 7.1).

For the firmware update you require a firmware file which is compatible with the device.

Never change the name of the firmware file.

10.1. Firmware update via web interface

You can find the option at

Maintaining > Update Firmware

. After selecting the start firmware update

you can select the pop-up window in the firmware file. After that you can transfer the firmware update
to your device by clicking the "upload" button. It will start automatically.

10.2. Firmware update via USB flash drive

To install a firmware update via an USB flash drive, an authenticatable USB flash drive should
be used, see in chapter 9.1. An authentication file has to exist on the USB flash drive. The
firmware file must also be present in the root directory.

The firmware update will start automatically after the USB flash drive is connected to the device.
During this process the MOD LED flashes as described in section 7.1.
