11. Checking the System Assembly
Ensure all fasteners are properly tightened throughout the system ( anchor bolts , etc.). See
torque requirements below. Check all Fender Panels. If they do not fit tightly against the
underlying Panel, system realignment may be necessary (Figure 35).
Important:
Top of Steel Nose is 32 1/8” above grade (p. 34).

12) Cartridge Placement
The Nose Cartridge must be the same height as every other Cartridge. T o complete the
assembly of a QuadGuard ® M Wide, place the appropriate Cartridge in each Bay of the
system. Type I Cartridges are placed toward the front (Nose) of the system; Type II
Cartridges are placed toward the rear (Backup) of the system (p. 20).
Warning:
Placing the wrong Cartridge in the Nose or Bay(s) could result in
unacceptable crash performance per MASH criteria and cause serious injury or
death to occupants and/or bystanders in the event of a vehicle impact .
Important:
The QuadGuard ® M Wide is a six (6) Bay configuration.
