Trident Planning and Installation Guide
Tray Recommendations
General recommendations for using trays are as follows:
• When separate trays are impractical, place Data 1 and Data 2 cables in the
same tray provided the cables are separated by a grounded steel barrier.
• Trays containing Data 1 and Data 2 cabling should have solid bottoms and
tray covers to provide complete shielding.
• Ventilation slots or louvers should be used only in trays containing Data 3
cables.
Refer to IEEE Standard 518-1982 for detailed information about tray and conduit
spacing.
