Open Temp
The Open Temp feature allows you to recall the program, all tool information and your
X, Y, Z position status that existed when you performed Save Temp (See 12.4.1).
This is very useful if you want to turn your KMX off overnight and return to your job
without resetting anything. However, you must be sure that the table has not been
moved and the tools have not been adjusted.
To implement, turn on the PrototTRAK KMX, go to Prog I/O and press Open Temp.

Saving a Program Onto the ProtoTRAK KMX Thumb Drive
Press MODE, PROG I/O and SAVE keys. The display will show:

Use Column Forward and Back to check the programs that are currently on the
thumb drive. Be careful to not duplicate a program number unless you intend to
over-write it.

Press Save to save your program with a .PT4 extension.
•
Press Save Temp to save not only your program, but your tool and position data
as well, if you want to turn the KMX off and restart as you were later. (See
12.4.1).
•
Press Save As .MX2 or .MX3 to save your program so that it can be transferred
and run on legacy ProtoTRAKs.
•
Press Return to return to the previous screen.
