2. Cover the tip of the screwdriver with a
rag or tape, etc.
3. Prise the key cover with the
screwdriver and remove the cover.
4. Remove the discharged battery using
a small flat-blade screw driver.
5. Insert a new battery with the positive
[
+
] terminal facing up.
6. Reassemble the key in the reverse
order of removal.
NOTICE
• Take care not to damage the circuit board.
• Do not bend the terminals.
• Make sure the positive side [
+
] of the transmitter battery is facing up.
• Do not replace the battery with wet hands. Water may cause corrosion.
• Close the transmitter case securely.
After replacing the battery, check the remote control and smart entry and start functions
operate correctly. If they do not operate correctly, contact your Toyota dealer.
