Operating the lights and wipers
HEADLIGHT SWITCH
Turning the end of the lever will turn the
lights on as follows.
Off
Vehicles with standard type ignition
switch
– The headlights and
parking lights, etc. turn on and off
automatically (when the ignition
switch is in the ON position).
Vehicles with smart entry and
start system
–
The headlights and
parking lights, etc. turn on and off
automatically (when the ENGINE
START STOP switch is in IGNITION
ON mode).
The parking, tail, licence plate and
instrument panel lights turn on.
The headlights and all the lights listed
above turn on.
If a headlight, parking light, stop or tail light bulb requires replacing, refer to “Light bulbs”
on page 284.
High-Low beams
1. For high beams, turn the headlights on
and push the lever away from you.
To return to low beams, return the
lever to the centre position.
2. Flashing the high beam headlights:
Pull the lever all the way toward you.
The high beam headlights turn off
when you release the lever.
You can flash the high beam
headlights with the headlight switch
turned to on or off.
The headlight high beam indicator on the instrument cluster will tell you the high beams
are on.
