The cootant level should be between the
"lOW"
and
"FUll" lines.
If low, check for leaks and add coolant up to the ' 'FULL"
line.
2.
CHECK E N G I N E COOLANT Q U A LITY
There should not be any excessive deposits of rust or
scales around t h e radiator cap or radiator f iller hole, and
t h e coolant should be free from oil.
If excessively dirty, replace the coolant.

REPLACE E N G I N E COOLANT

Remove the radiator
cap.
(b) Drain the coolant from the radiator and engine drain
cocks. (Engine drain cock is at l e f t front o f engine
block.)
(c)
Close the drain cocks.
(d) FiJI the system with coolant.
Use a good brand o f ethy lene-glycol base coola nt,
mixed according to the manufacturer's directions.

Install the rad iator cap.

Start the engine and check for leaks

Recheck the
coolant level and refill as necessary.
