1 6. REMOVE MAIN BEARING CAPS A N D CHECK OIL
CLEARANCE
(a) Rem ov e t h e main bearing cap bOlts.
(b) USing the removed main bearing cap bollS,
pry
the
cap back and forth. and remove the main bearing
caps. lower bearings and lower thrust washers (No. 4
main bearing ca p onlyl.
NOTE:
•
Keep the lower bearing and main bearing cap together.
•
Arrange the main bearing cap end lower thrust washers
in correct order.
