INSTALL STI F F E N I N G PLATE
(a) Remove any oil packing material and be careful nOt to
drop any oil on the contacting surfaces o f the stiffen
i n g plate and cylinder block.
•
U sing a razor blade and gasket scraper, remove all
the ol
d
packing (FIPGI material from the gasket
surfaces and sealing groove.
•
Thoroughly clean all components to remove all t h e
l o o s e material
•
Clean both sealing surfaces with
a
non-residue
solvent.
CAUTION : Do not use a solv e n t which w i l l affect the
painted surfaces.
(b) Apply seal packing

Seal packing: Part No.08826-00080 or equivant
•
Install
a
nozzle thai h a s been cut to t h e

(0. 1 2 in.! opening.
NOTE: Avoid applying an excess amount to the surface,
Be especially careful near oil passages,
•
Parts must be assembled within 1 5 minutes o f
application. Otherwise, the material m u s t b e
removed and reapplied.
•
Immediately remove nozzle f rom t ube and reinstall
cap.

Attach t h e stiffening plate to t h e cylinder block.

I N STAll OIL STRA I N E R AND O I L P I P E
(a) I n s t a l l a n e w g asket and o i l s t r a i n e r with t h e t w o bolts
and two nuts. Torque t h e bolts and nuts.
Torq u e : 1 8 5 kg-em ( 1 3 ft-Ib. 18 N·m)
(bl Install new t hree gaskets and o i l pipe with the union
bolt an d two nuts. Torque t h e umon bolt and nuts.
