Long Periods of Disuse
If you will be absent from home for a long time in the winter, be sure to drain the water to prevent
freezing.
Also, if the toilet is in a location you will not visit for a long time, drain the water.
(The water in the tank may become contaminated and cause skin infl ammation or other problems)
Before draining the water, check that the top unit is not lifted up and that the cleaning lift lever (Page 30) is retracted to its

original position.
How to drain the water

Close the water supply valve.

Drain the pipe.
Remove the remote control from the hanger,
then press [WAND CLEANING] on the backside
of the remote control to extend the wand. Press
[WAND CLEANING] again to retract the wand.

drain valve.
Tighten it securely using a fl at-head screwdriver.

Pull out the water drain lever.
The water comes out from near the wand for

about 20 seconds.

Release your hand to return the
water drain lever to its original
position.

Drain the water from inside the
toilet tank.
