Inspecting the Tank Straps
Service Interval:
Before each use or daily—Check
the tank straps.
Important:
Over tightening the tank-strap
fasteners can result in deforming and damaging
the tank and straps.

Fill the main tank with water.
2.
Check to see if there is any movement between
the tank straps and the tank (

If the tank straps fit loosely to the tank, tighten
the flanged locknuts and bolts at the top of
straps until the straps are flush with the surface
of the tank (
Note:
Do not over tighten the tank-strap
hardware.
Operating the Machine
Starting the Engine
1.
Sit on the operator’s seat and keep your foot off
the traction pedal.
2.
Ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the
traction pedal is in the N
EUTRAL
position, and the
throttle is in the S
LOW
position.
3.
Turn the switch to the O
N
/P
REHEAT
position.
Note:
An automatic timer controls the preheat
for approximately 6 seconds.
4.
After preheating, turn the key to the S
TART
position.
5.
Crank the engine for no longer than 15 seconds.
6.
Release the key when the engine starts.
