Description:
Sets a system operating parameter.
Example:
#> settimeout
ipaddr=192.168.3.201
port=23

#> settimeout ipaddr=216.43.106.186

Saved. Reboot to activate changes.

Notes:
1. After changing a setting, the
save
command must be used to save the changes.
2. After saving the changes, they will not be used until a
reboot
.
3. There are several standard settings:
Field Possible Values Description
time 0- 1073741823 seconds The idle timeout for packets. If no packet is
received within the timeout, a warning alarm is
sent.
port Any port from 1 to 64000 The port for the Alarm. Standard is 23.
ipaddr IP Address The destination for the Alarm.

Description:
Sets whether to check setting for accuracy.
Example:
#> setverify on
#> settelnet server5=www.foobar.com
Unable to verify address. Please make sure DNS and Gateway are set.
#> setverify off
#> settelnet server5=www.foobar.com

Note:
Verify is automatically turned back on with a reboot.
